XeroTouch is a dedicated web portal where the process of IP device configuration begins at the point of sale and ends when the customer makes their first call. XeroTouch will benefit Distributors, Service Providers, Value Added Resellers and end user customers alike. It aims to simplify the process of provisioning any Polycom SoundPoint IP Handset and many other IP devices without ever touching them! No more wrestling with XML configuration files, simple point and click setting of Polycom’s full feature set – including ring tone and bitmap customisation!

With XeroTouch the handset can be shipped directly from the distributor to the end-user cutting the reseller’s costs and reducing time delays. Whilst the ship-to-site process is taking place the customer facing sales organisation logs into the portal and allocates users to handsets, along with any additional settings (i.e. localisation, bitmap images, and other network specific settings, etc).

The handsets are pre-programmed at the point of distribution to seek a connection to the Internet and then to establish a secure connection to the XeroTouch system where upon it will be sent the information required for the phone to work in accordance with the customer needs as soon as it is sited and powered up by the end user. No On-site engineer is required!
